- Part of a set of four vases ordered in 1742 by Louis XV for his garden at Choisy, based on designs by Ange-Jacques Gabriel (1698-1782).
One pair, with attributes of Spring, was executed by Jacques Verberckt (now in the Louvre and in the park of Malmaison).
